Andrew Korzen Takes Helm at Wilsonart

Austin, Texas – May 1, 2024 – Wilsonart, a global leader in engineered surfaces, announced the planned retirement of Tim O’Brien from his role as president and chief executive officer. Andrew Korzen, who currently oversees operations, sales, product management, marketing, and design at Wilsonart, has been named his successor as president and CEO.

Korzen joined Wilsonart in April 2014 and brings a strong track record of leadership and growth within the organization. He previously served as vice president of sales for the U.S. and Canada, where he played a key role in driving top-line growth across multiple distribution channels and direct account segments. In that role, he also led U.S. and Canada sales and warehouse operations.

Earlier in his tenure, Korzen served as vice president of product management, where he led the growth and global expansion of the Wilsonart Quartz, Wilsonart Solid Surface, and Durcon Epoxy product lines.

“We are pleased to have such a seamless transition and are excited for Wilsonart’s future under Andy’s leadership,” said John Hayes, operating advisor to CD&R funds and chairman of the Wilsonart Board of Directors. “Since joining Wilsonart more than 10 years ago, Andy has made significant contributions to the business and demonstrated a rigorous approach to strategy, execution, talent development, and customer service. This gives us great confidence that Andy is the right person to build on Wilsonart’s momentum and drive value for our team, customers, and partners.”

Hayes added, “On behalf of the board, I thank Tim for his purpose-driven leadership over the past decade, delivering tremendous growth and advancing Wilsonart’s position at the center of manufacturing and distribution. We appreciate his collaborative partnership and wish him all the best.”

“I am honored and energized to become the new CEO of Wilsonart,” Korzen said. “Through my experience at the company, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for what makes Wilsonart special. Our success has always been rooted in our ability to deliver customers’ visions with surfaces they love and service they can trust, supported by people who care. I look forward to working with our teams across North America and globally as we continue to innovate, grow, and strengthen our market presence.”

O’Brien reflected on his tenure, stating, “It has been an honor to lead this great company and work alongside such a talented team. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and grateful to our employees, customers, suppliers, and the design community for their partnership. Andy and I have worked closely for years, and I am confident Wilsonart will continue to thrive under his leadership.”
